Women of the ELCA

Our regular meeting is held the third Wednesday of each month.

The women’s group purpose statement is as follows:

As a community of women
    created in the image of God,
    called to discipleship in Jesus Christ,
    and empowered by the Holy Spirit,
we commit ourselves to
    grow in faith,
    affirm our gifts,
    support one another in our callings,
    engage in ministry and action, and
    promote healing and wholeness
      in the church,
      the society,
      and the world.

We have a variety of activities throughout the year: Wednesday Night in the Park, Confirmation Tea, Christmas Brunch, Over 70’s Party, Ice Cream Social, serving Sunday coffee at Bethany Manor and the Riverside Cluster meeting.

In February and March we meet for a day of tying quilts and putting Lutheran World Relief kits and layettes together.
